Cold Drawn Bar

Cold drawn bar is the most common type of cold finished steel used in manufacturing. To make cold drawn bar, hot rolled material is pulled (drawn) through a carbide die at room temperature (i.e. cold-drawn).

The hot roll bar is larger than what the finished bar is after the cold draw process.

Cold drawn bar is most commonly used in automotive and machining applications.
